A liquid level sensor is a device used to measure the liquid level in a tank or reservoir. Float is a type of liquid level sensor.

The floatfloats depending on the rise and fall of the liquid level and transmits this movementto the sensor to determine the liquid level. A floatis a type of buoy, usually placed inside a container. When the liquid levelrises, the floatrises and sends a signalto the sensor, and when the liquid level falls, the float goes down and sends a different signalto the sensor. Floatliquid level sensors are widely used to monitor liquid level in industrial applications. For example, they can be used to check the fill level of a water tank or determine the emptying level of a chemical tank.
